CM Murad to support Akhtar over Karachi development
KARACHI: Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has reaffirmed to work with Karachi mayor Waseem Akhtar for the prosperity and development of the city.
The Chief Minister met with the Mayor of Karachi who apprised him of the conflicts and the financial and administrative problems faced by the municipal and the Karachi Development Authority.
Akhtar also apprised him of the plethora of problems faced by the city including water shortages, transportation issues, and waste management and also suggested solutions to deal with them.
CM Murad reassured him and said that Karachi was his city as well, where he was raised and educated and has spent of his life in the metropolis.
He extended all possible assistance to the Mayor of Karachi and said that they will work with the city government for the benefit and development of the city, and will reconsider all solutions provided to address the city’s problems.
This is the first meeting of Waseem Akhtar after he was released from prison after four months, after which he took charge of his mayoral responsibilities.
