CM Punjab congratulates Gillani on Ali Haider’s recovery

LAHORE: Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif met ex-prime minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani and congratulated him on the recovery of his son Ali Haider Gillani, ARY News reported on Sunday.

According to details, CM Punjab arrived at Gillani House in Lahore to congratulate the family on return of Ali Haider Gillani, who was rescued in a joint operation in Afghanistan.

Ali Haider Gillani was kidnapped on May 9, 2013 from Multan during an election rally for General Elections 2013. He was rescued by US-Afghan forces in an operation on 10th May.

Ali Haider Gillani and Ali Musa Gillani were also present during the meeting between CM Punjab and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader.

CM Sharif lauded the determination and courage of the Gillani family.

Sources said that the overall political situation was also discussed by Sharif and Gillani. They agreed to cooperate with each other for stabilizing democracy in the country.
