CM Shah, DG Rangers discuss security plan for LB polls

KARACHI: DG Rangers Major General Bilal Akbar on Wednesday called on Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah to discussed security plan for second phase of local body (LB) elections in the province, ARY News reported.

The spokesperson of the CM House said that the chief minister apprised DG Rangers of the details of polling process in 14 districts of Sindh.

On the occasion, Gen Akbar briefed CM Shah about the deployment of Rangers personnel to maintain law and order during LB polls in these districts.

The two figures also held and exchange of views on overall law and order situation across Sindh and the ongoing targeted operations particularly in Karachi.

It should be noted here that the Sindh government citing security concerns had requested for Rangers deployment at extremely sensitive polling stations across the province.
