CM Sindh announces compensation for Shikarpur blast victims

The Sindh CM also met the families of martyrs and the injured while announcing a compensation amount of 2 million for the dead and Two hundred thousand rupees for those injured in the blast that shook a Shiite mosque on Friday.

Shah will also preside over a high level meeting to discuss the blast and the security situation after the tragic incident.

CM Sindh will be briefed about the tragedy while the session will devise a future strategy for the security of masses in Sindh Province.

More than 55 people were killed and 50 others injured in an explosion during Friday prayers at Karbala Maula Imambargah in Lakhi Dar area of Shikarpur district.

-High ups visit blast victims in Karachi-

Meanwhile, public representatives and political leaders belonging to different parties visited the injured victims of the blast in Karachi’s Agha Khan Hospital as 14 injured victims of the blast were brought to Sindh’s capital city through a C-130 plane.

PPP leader Sharmila Faruqi on the occasion prayed for the speedy recovery of the victims of the blast and expressed hope that the nation will come out of the tragedy with renewed strength and resolve to fight terrorism.

While MQM leaders Gul Faraz Khattak and Muzammil Qureshi called for speeding up the action against terrorists across the country.

MWM leader Hasan Zafar Naqvi claimed that the sit-ins awakened the provincial cabinet to pay heed to cries of victims of the deadly blast.

PTI MPA Khurram Sher Zaman also visited the injured of the blast in the hospital.
