COAS hails Pak Army team winning gold in Exercise Cambrian Patrol

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Wednesday met with the Pakistan Army team which recently returned after participating and winning gold medal in “Exercise Cambrian Patrol” held in UK from 15-25 October, according to a report.

The army chief appreciated the team for their commendable achievement in winning the coveted trophy and keeping Pakistan’s flag high.

A total of 120 teams including India, participated in the event known as one of the toughest field exercise for any military.

Cambrian Patrol is a physically challenging, arduous exercise which concentrates on teamwork for achieving the mission.

The exercise was carried out in Wales, UK, across jungles, water obstacles and mountains testing leadership, self-discipline, courage and determination of the participants.

During the exercise, Pakistan Army team led by Captain Tauseef clinched gold medal on October 26.
