COAS, PM discuss Indian-sponsored terrorism in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Monday called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and discussed with him key security affairs of the country, ARY News reported.

Sources told that the civil-military leadership discussed the overall security situation of the state including the Karachi Operation and Zarb-e-Azb.

They also discussed the involvement of Indian spy agency Research & Analysis Wing (RAW) in terrorism activities inside Pakistan.

Gen Sharif told that effective measures are being taken for the prevention of foreign-funded terrorism in the country.

Sources said that the meeting was of vital significance and soon the Pakistani Ambassador to India will be summoned, and Pakistan will record strong protest against Indian-backed terrorism within its territory.

It was further reported that the evidences of it will also be shared with rest of the states.
