COAS, PM Nawaz discuss Zarb-e-Azb

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Monday met the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and discussed the ongoing operation ‘Zarb-e-Azb’ against militants in North Waziristan, ARY News reported.

The meeting took place at the Prime Minister House in Islamabad. The COAS and the PM discussed operation Zarb-e-Azb and exodus of local people in the wake of operation against militants.

They also exchanged views on rehabilitation and assistance of internally displaced persons of the North Waziristan.

It may be noted here that at least 23 militants were killed today in fresh air strikes by Pakistan army gunship helicopters in the volatile region of NWA.

Over 900 militants have so far been in an operation than began on June 15, 2014.
