COAS resolved to rid Punjab of extremism

LAHORE: Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Raheel Sharif on Saturday resolved to eliminate extremism from Punjab at all cost, adding that the military cannot even think of losing the war against terrorism, ARY News reported.

According to details, the COAS, General Raheel Sharif and the Chief Minister of Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif participated in a high-level security meeting here on Saturday.

On this occasion, General Sharif said that the military cannot even think of losing the war against terrorism. He resolved to eliminate extremism from Punjab at all cost.

The meeting was attended by the Corps Commanders from Punjab, DG Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and representatives of the law enforcement agencies (LEAs).

Moreover, the ISPR in a release issued this evening, stated that committees have been formed on provincial level for the effective implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP).
