COAS warns foreign powers against efforts to destabilize Pakistan

The Army Chief on Wednesday arrived in Quetta on a one-day visit, during which he held meetings with Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai, Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch and Commander Southern Command, Lieutenant General Nasir Khan Janjua.

General Raheel Sharif also visited the FC Headquarters, where he was given a detailed briefing about ongoing operation against terrorists and miscreants in the province.

On the occasion, the COAS expressed grief over Turbat massacre of innocent laborers and vowed to extend full support to the Baluchistan government in eliminating all terrorists.

He warned foreign states and their spy agencies to refrain from trying to destabilize Pakistan by supporting terrorists in Baluchistan and pledged to defeat them all.

Gen. Sharif praised the law enforcement agencies (LEAs) and the FC for bringing noticeable improvement in law and order of Baluchistan, and vowed to stand by the people of the province in restoring complete peace and prosperity here.

“We will unearth terrorists, their abettors, sympathizers and financiers, and none will find a place in country to hide,” vowed the COAS the Inter-Services Public Relations said. “We will go to any length for establishing the writ of state.”

Given the security challenges in Pakistan’s largest province with respect to its land area, General Raheel Sharif stressed on the need of close coordination between civil and military leadership and the LEAs, for making Baluchistan a peaceful province.
