Coke Studio delays final episode in respect of Mina tragedy

Coke Studio has decided to postpone its final episode, in light of the Mina stampede, which caused the deaths of more than 700 pilgrims in Makkah.

Coke Studio decided to postpone its last and final episode from this season due to the tragic event of Mina this Thursday. As many as 717 pilgrims were killed when a stampede erupted on the last day of the Hajj, when pilgrims were busy stoning the devil.

As many as 311 Pakistanis are currently missing, according to the DG Hajj, Abu Akif. Coke Studio’s latest episode was to release digitally on 26th September and air on televisions on September 27. However, now the last episode will be released on 3rd October whereas on TV screens it will be aired on 4th October.

This is not the first time that Coke Studio has postponed its episode in light of a tragedy that took place during this year’s Hajj. A couple of weeks ago, when the fatal Makkah crane crash occurred and scores of pilgrims were killed, Coke Studio had also postponed its episode 5 then.

The last episode will feature performances from Ali Zafar, Farida Khanum, Malang Party and Alycia Dias.
