FAISALABAD: As combing operations against terrorists intensify in almost every part of the country, security forces claimed to have arrested seven suspects in the city.

ARY News reported on Friday that during recent operations on Jhang Road in Rasheedabad area, security recovered weapons from inside a seminary and arrested at least seven suspects on Thursday.

A couple of days back, security forces claimed to have conducted a similar search operation in the same seminary where mostly Afghan students get religious education and training.

Meanwhile, in Lahore, security has been put on high alert amid terror threats, said law enforcement agencies.

LEA and police officials arrested seven more suspected persons during search operations near Punjab University.

Rounds of snap checking were also conducted near Lahore’s railway station and other parts of the city.

Remember, the city has been put on high alert after LEA officials received terror threats for Lahore before Eid-ul-Azha.
