Contempt plea against Zardari dismissed

ISLAMABAD: A bench of Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday dismissed contempt of court plea against former president Asif Ali Zardari, ARY News reported.

A plea was filed in the court seeking contempt of court proceedings against People’s Party’s Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari for using derogatory words against former chief justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry in a Lahore public meeting.

IHC bench comprises of Chief Justice Anwar Khan Kasi dismissed the plea during the hearing for not submitting relevant documents of the case.
