Corruption scandal: NAB begins inquiry against Rana Mashood

LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau Punjab has galvanized into action and began garnering evidences against Provincial Education Minister Rana Mashood for his alleged involvement in corruption and financial embezzlements in the Punjab Youth Festival.

The footage of the Punjab minister, taking bribes from an owner of visa consultancy firm Asim Malik, was aired in ARY News program on August 13, 2014.

The NAB also received complaints against the minister for his alleged role in financial irregularities in the PYF.


Secret Video of Rana Mashood revealed

Sources informed that the NAB would formally launch inquiry against Mashood in coming days.

Meanwhile, sources in the Punjab government informed that provincial government could seek resignation from its minister if NAB inquiry kicks off against him.

The minister, however, has denied allegations against him and said he would take legal action against Malik who plundered millions of rupees from people through deceptive means.
