The court asked the government not to harass or prevent the political workers from participating in a peaceful protest.
The LHC issued verdict preventing government from the illegal arrests of the PTI workers, ahead of PTI rally on November 30.
“Every citizen reserves the basic right to hold peaceful demonstrations and public meetings, however if the PTI workers engage in any illegal activity then an action should be taken against them”, read the court verdict. “But, no worker should be harassed by the government”.
The court ordered the government to refrain from arresting the workers arriving from different parts of the country, to take part in the PTI rally in the federal capital on November 30.
