The court has extended remand of the former top finance official of Balochistan to NAB, for the fifth time.

The NAB officials produced the former advisor in the court today after completion of his previous remand period.

Langove was sporting a Sindhi cap during the court hearing.

The NAB officials requested to the court for extension in remand during the hearing of the case.

The defence counsel opposed the NAB request and argued that no progress made in the case.

The judge granted the NAB request and extended the remand for 14 more days.

Langove had resigned from his office after the arrest of former finance secretary Mushtaq Raisani by NAB under corruption charges.

In a raid at the house of Mushtaq Raisani in the first week of May, NAB personnel had captured a treasure worth 730 million rupees apart from gold, prize bonds and documents of properties in posh areas in several cities across Pakistan.

Raisani is accused of embezzlement of billions of rupees from the national exchequer and misuse of authority.
