The gang involved in sex abuse in extortion, according to the FIRs, had recorded videos while sodomising young boys and raping girls and had extorted millions of rupees as well as gold jewellery from villagers since years.

Additional Sessions Judge Kasur Sameena Hayat hearing serial child abuse and extortion charges against accused Saleem Akhtar Sheerazi, Tanzilur Rehman, Mohammad Yahya, Aleem Asif, Ateequr Rehman and others.

Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sheikhupura Shehzad Sultan had earlier said that the proof regarding the scandal was found in the shape of video recordings which show several teenagers being sodomized.

Pakistan’s largest ever child abuse scandal came to light in Punjab’s town of Kasur when more than 400 videos featuring 280 children forced to have sex, were discovered.

Saleem, an uncle of accused Haseem Amir has confirmed that his nephew has been involved in the child abuse incidents, which has caused an outcry on the national level.

Local police has so far arrested seven accused including Haseem Amir, Usman, Saleem, Naseem and Asif.

Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has announced judicial inquiry of the incident.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has also taken notice of the incident and vowed stern punishments to the accused involved in the scandal.
