Court issues arrest warrants for Kanju over illegal possession of arms

LAHORE: A local court here on Thursday issued arrest warrants for Mustafa Kanju over illegal possession of weapons, ARY News reported.

The bench, hearing the case filed against Kanju over illegal possession of weapons, has ordered Punjab Police to arrest Kanju and present him before the court on 5th January.

The law enforcement agencies stated that the suspect is at large since he was released by the court earlier.

Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday accepted Punjab Government’s appeal against the acquittal of prime suspect Mustafa Kanju in the Zain murder case.

Mustafa Kanju, son of Siddique Kanju, was accused of killing 16-year old youngster named Zain on April 2nd, 2015.

An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) had acquitted the prime suspect in Zain murder case on 27th October, 2015 after all the complainants had retracted from their statements.
