According to details, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah of the Lahore High Court (LHC) heard the petition relating to Maryam Nawaz’s appointment as the Chairman of PMYBLS.
During the hearing, the petitioner took the stance that the prime minister appointed Maryam Nawaz as the Chairman of PM’s Youth Loan Scheme, violating the laws and merit, under which 100 billion rupees loans are being provided to the youngsters for achieving political motives.
At this, the government’s counsel said that the scheme was introduced with a sole purpose of making the youth self-reliant.
The court in its remarks inquired that under what capacity a member of PM’s family was appointed on such a key post and ordered the government to submit an explanation in this regard.
Moreover, the LHC while adjourning the hearing till October 30, summoned the concerned officials of the Youth Loan Scheme along with all the details.
