CTD arrests two terrorists involved in high profile attacks

PESHAWAR: Two key suspected terrorists said to be involved in different high profile terrorist attacks were arrested by Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and intelligence agencies, ARY News reports.

According to details, CTD and an intelligence agency carried out a raid in which two terrorists said to be involved in attacks on NATO containers, killing of a Pakistan Army major along with several top police officers, were arrested.

CTD officials stated that the arrested terrorists have taken responsibility in carrying out 18 to 20 terrorist attacks in the country. However, their names were not disclosed by the anti-terrorism force.

They added that the arrested terrorists belong to a terrorist group and were planning to carry out another attack in the country.

The two unnamed suspects have been shifted to an unknown location for investigation.
