Dar, Aziz slam PTI for not abiding by TORs it agreed upon with govt

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister of Finance Ishaq Dar Monday slammed Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf for not abiding by the terms of reference (TORs) it signed for the formation of a judicial commission to probe rigging, ARY News reported.

Speaking at the floor of the assembly, Dar said the party formed with the name of Tehreek-i-Insaf tried to malign the judiciary, adding they are not abiding by the terms of agreement while the Judicial Commission to probe electoral irregularities was being formed.

“The inquiry commission was formed with the consent of all political parties and the PTI also endorsed the decision,” he said.

He reminded that the government did not ask Imran Khan to apologize for his deeds and regretted over PTI’s demand for an apology by PM Sharif.

The minister also expressed regret over insult of the MPs on social media.

He reiterated had the commission announced a verdict against the government, then a re-election would be held.

Earlier while talking to media, PML-N’s Danial Aziz said the people have grown fed up listening to rigging claims all the time.

He warned, “If the PTI did not adopt an appropriate attitude, then it will be shown the door leading out of the assembly”.
