Dar told to negotiate with disgruntled PTI

ISLAMABAD: The government has decided to hold dialogues with the protesting Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf to settle the contentious dispute of election rigging, ARY News reported Wednesday.

The Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has tasked Finance Minister Ishaq Dar with reaching out to the PTI and hold talks with them. The decision to this effect wake taken at the meeting in Prime Minister House.

The meeting was attended by senior leaders including Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan, Ministers Ahsan Iqbal, Pervaiz Rasheed and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.

The participants reviewed the strategy to hold talks with the PTI. The prime minister said government gave credence to the talks to resolve the dispute.

He added that demonstration of patience was also important to end the political crisis.
