Decided to bring change while staying in the system: Zardari

ISLAMABAD: Patron-in-Chief of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari has said that he decided to bring change while staying in the system, ARY News reports.

Asif Ali Zardari, addressing a dinner reception in his honor given by PPP Punjab wing President Manzoor Wattoo, said that he celebrated Eid in Punjab for the first time as a free citizen.

“I spent seven years in Punjab as a prisoner”, Zardari said.

The PPP leader further said that he has fought a war against bureaucracy and decided to bring a change by staying within the system.

The former president said that everyone makes mistakes. He added that the political parties should look towards the future instead of infighting.

The PPP patron-in-chief said that he accepted the results of elections 2013 for the sake of democracy.
