Govt firm on registering religious seminaries, says Chandio

KARACHI: Moula Bux Chandio, adviser to Sindh chief minister on information, says registration of religious seminaries (madaris) in the province is inevitable, ARY News reported.

Briefing the media after the APEX committee meeting, Chandio said the government would address reservations of relevant quarters regarding seminary reforms.

He also appreciated efforts of law enforcement agencies in tackling menace of terrorism.

When asked by demolition of MQM offices, he said the offices of Mutahidda were constructed of government land, hence they were razed.

He claimed that the Sindh government implemented National Action Plan on counter terrorism more in its province than any other counterpart did.
