Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone have always been friendly with each other. In fact, Deepika Padukone’s first ever film Om Shanti Om was beside Shah Rukh Khan, one of the reasons why the actress had such a meteoric rise in the Indian film industry. However, Deepika Padukone’s recent Instagram post which upset Shah Rukh Khan.
Sanjay Leela-Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani, starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra will clash with yet another multi-starrer big budget movie Dilwale, which stars Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Kriti Sanon and Varun Dhawan. The two films are all set to clash on December 18th and it seems that neither director Rohit Shetty of Dilwale and neither Sanjay Leela-Bhansali is backing down.
However, a box office clash between Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan is not what has ticked off the Bollywood superstar. Apparently, Shah Rukh had tweeted:-
On 14th July, SRK had tweeted, “I ran 100 mtr races with seniors. Bigger & faster than me. I won often. Cos their issue was not 2 come 2nd, my desperation was not 2 come last!”
The above tweet was an obvious reference to the competition at the box office, to which actress Deepika Padukone also posted a tweet:-
In reply Deepika Padukone shared the first look of Bajirao Mastani on Instagram with hashtag #Challenge Accepted.
The move seemed to upset Shah Rukh Khan as a source claimed:-
“Competitiveness is one thing. But you cannot have this attitude towards the man who gave you a break and made you a star. SRK was not happy with her attitude, but he is not the kind to make a public display of his emotions. He launched her and he even set an example with Chennai Express when he insisted that his leading lady’s name come ahead of his.”
Accordingly, Deepika might have sensed that her posed might have irked Shah Rukh, so she deleted the hashtag.
