ISLAMABAD: Khawaja Asif, Pakistan’s Defence Minister on Friday said that the armed forces were responding strongly and appropriately to a growing Indian hostility at the borders.

“When they martyr one of our soldiers, they pick bodies of four Indian soldiers in a tit-for-tat response,” said the minister in the National Assembly session today.

He said that India was finding it hard to see the success of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) while Pakistan’s Zarb-e-Azb offensive also dismantled an Indian terror network in the country.

Asif informed the floor of the assembly that for years India was supervising a terror network in Pakistan only to fuel violence in the country.

However, the minister said that the government recently shared proves of Indian involvement in several terror incidents that happened in Pakistan.

He reiterated that the government and the armed forces were capable of protecting every inch of Pakistan and that India should not be under any illusion.

Referring to the vacant post of a foreign minister in the country, Asif said it was no big deal if the country had no such minister.
