Demonstrations in Lahore over Muslims massacre in Burma

LAHORE: Political and religious parties on Sunday held demonstrations protesting against Muslims massacre in Burma at the hands of Buddhist fanatics, ARY News reported.

According to details, Jamaat e Islami set a camp outside the Punjab Assembly to protest against the inhuman torture on Muslims, while Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf organized a protest at the Liberty Chowk.

Addressing participants of the demonstrations, JI’s Liaquat Baloch demanded to move the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) on Burma issue, while PTI leader Mian Mehmood ur Rasheed called for putting an end to diplomatic ties with the state witnessing idly inhuman Buddhists butchering the minority Muslims.

Sunni Tehreek while expressing solidarity with Burmese Muslims demanded the government and the army chief to take measures to save the lives of innocent Rohingya Muslims.

Tanzeem Ulema Ahle Sunnat staged a similar demonstration in Islampura and called for stopping atrocities against Muslims.
