Dengue outbreak: Number of patients reach 144 in Punjab

LAHORE: At least 10 more cases of dengue fever surfaced in the provincial capital of Punjab here, taking number of patients to 144,  ARY News reported Friday.

According to provincial health department Punjab, the department had detected more cases of the viral fever in the province.

Six of the dengue patients, belonging to Rawalpindi, are admitted to Holy Family Hospital, while four patients from Lahore are being treated at Mayo Hospital.

After emergence of 10 new cases, the number of dengue patients in Punjab has reached 144, thus raising alarm among the provincial authorities.

of the total patients, at least 68 cases are reported from Rawalpindi, 38 in Lahore and 29 in Sheikhupura.
