PIA employees have been staging countrywide demonstrations against expected privatization of the national airliner forcing suspension of flight operations and locking up offices.
One such protest in Karachi turned violent on Tuesday when the workers clashed with law enforcers outside PIA head office. Two protesting employees were killed due to firing amid ruckus, while another succumbed to his wounds at a hospital.
