Kasuri arrived at Bandra residence of Dilip Kumar with stern security arrangements in place. He was accompanied by his host Sudheendra Kulkarni, who of late faced an ink attack by far-right Hindu group Shiv Sena for moderating the launching ceremony of a book authored by Kasuri.

Kasuri held nearly an hour-long discussion with Dilip Kumar and his wife Saira Bano on different topics from politics to movies.

The former Pakistani minister elaborated the purpose of his visit to Kumar, saying, “Dilip Sahib twice visited Pakistan on secret mission to bring Muslims and Hindus close to each other”.

He said the fact has been disclosed by him in his book ‘Neither a hawk nor a dove’.

Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri presented a copy of his book to the Bollywood actor, while Dilip returned the gesture by signing and gifting his autobiography to the visiting dignitary.

The ex-Pakistani minister said the signed book was of great significance for him.

Prior to it, Kasuri paid visit to Gandhi and Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s residences.
