Muhammad Asif, popularly known as DJ Butt, soared to fame for his creative music composition, tones and stage lighting during the PTI’s months-long sit-in in Islamabad in 2014.
His music beats would add energy to participants and the milieu at PTI public meetings.
Impressed with the work of disc jockey, the PPP rally organizers decided to rope in the artist for its rally in Mirpur today.
PPP co-chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will address the gathering.
In November last, DJ Butt was caught in a media spotlight for some financial dispute with the PTI. He had come up with claims that PTI owes him Rs 80 million from Dharna days on account of musical arrangements at its Islamabad sit-in that continued for 126 days.
Earlier in July 2015, the Punjab Revenue Authority had served notice on DJ Butt over non-payment of tax worth Rs 17 million.
