Dolphin Force to be extended to four other cities: Shahbaz Sharif

LAHORE: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif presided over a meeting of the provincial ministers and stated that the Dolphin Force would be extended to four other cities, ARY News reported.

According to details, the Chief Minister of Punjab was all praises for the Dolphin Force and said that it had instilled in the people a sense of protection and security. During the meeting, Sharif also announced that the Dolphin Force will also be extended to four other cities as well, namely Faisalabad, Multan, Gujranwala and Rawalpindi.

“Dolphin Force has helped control street crimes and will also aid in reducing further criminal activities in the city,” he said.

Sharif also gave directions that a system to monitor the performance of the Dolphin Force be set up. He stated that Dolphin awards will be distributed to those who perform their duties well and set a fine example.

The Dolphin Force is an elite security unit established by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, after a similar force in Turkey provided him with the inspiration to create one in Punjab as well. Security officials on Honda CB motorbikes patrol the streets of Lahore, keeping an eye out for hardened criminals and their malicious activities.

So far the Dolphin Force is operational only in the city of Lahore.
