Domestic T20: Abbottabad thrashes Lahore, Bahawalpur trounces Karachi

Multan defeated Rawalpindi by eight wickets in the first T20 match of the day.

Batting first, Rawalpindi scored 132 with Awais Zia being the top scorer with 33 runs followed Umar Amin and Yasim Murtaza each contributing 13 runs to the side.

Majid Ali, Zulfiqar Babar, Rahat Ali and Kashif Naved took two wickets each for the Multan side.

Multan reached the target in 17.5 overs with Kamran Akmal scoring 51 runs while Naved Yasin also made 28 runs.

Imran Farhat and Sohaib Maqsood also scored 24 runs for the team as well.

Hammad Azam took the two wickets for Rawalpindi.

Peshawar Region defeated Faisalabad Region by five wickets.

Faisalabad scored 133/9 runs in their 20 overs with Captain Misbah-ul-Haq made 38 runs while Asif Ali and Khurram Shehzad scored 24 and 22 runs each.

Imran Khan (1) took four wickets while Iftikhar Ahmed and Imran Khan took two wickets each.

In reply, Peshawar won the match in 18.5 overs with five wickets to spare as Iftikhar Ahmed scored 51 runs while Israrullah made 20 runs.

Imran Khalid grabbed two wickets while Fahim Ashraf and Waqas Maqsood dismissed one batsman each.

Bahawalpur Region defeated Karachi Region Whites by 42 runs.

Bahawalpur made 174/4 in their 20 overs as Faisal Mubashir and Moinuddin made 56 and 58 runs respectively while Aamer Ijaz made 31 runs as well.

Tabish Khan, Azam Hussain, Saud Shakeel took one wicket each for Karachi.

In reply, Karachi was all out on 132 runs in 19.4 overs. Shehryar Ghani was the top scorer for Karachi with 32 followed by Ahsan Ali with 28 runs.

Saadat Munir took three wickets for Bahawalpur while Kamran Hussain and Zahir Siddiqi grabbed two wickets as well.

Abbottabad Region trounced Lahore Region Whites by 83 runs.

Batting first, Abbottabad scored a mammoth 198/3 in their 20 overs with Yasir Hameed scoring 67 runs and Younis Khan made 61 runs for the team.

Mohammad Irfan, Mustafa Iqbal and Hussain Talat took one wicket for Lahore.

Lahore were bowled out on 115 runs in just 16 overs. Mohammad Hafeez made 31 runs for the team while Saad Nasim and Ahmed Shehzad made 19 and 16 runs for the side.

Khalid Usman dismissed five batsmen while Junaid Khan and Ahmed Jamal dismissed two and one batsman respectively.

Sialkot Region edged past Hyderabad Region by just four runs.

Sialkot, batting first, made 163/7 in their 20 overs with Bilal Asif and Captain Shoaib Malik scoring 53 and 52 runs respectively.

Babar Khan and Nauman Ali took two wickets for the Hyderabad team while Nasir Awais and Kashif Bhatti took one wicket each.

Hyderabad fell just four runs short from the target as they could only score 159/9 in their 20 overs.

Shoaib Laghari and Azeem Ghumman made 29 and 23 runs for the team.

Ammad Butt and Bilal Asif grabbed three wickets each.
