LAHORE:  In a dramatic development, the Punjab government has nominated son of Dr. Tahirul Qadri in the First Information Report (FIR) on clash between PAT-police that left at least eight dead, ARY News reported Wednesday.

Police have now registered a case of the incident that took place in Model Town yesterday. Hussain Mohiuddin, son of Dr. Qadri, has now been nominated in the FIR.

According to the FIR, Mohiuddin is termed main culprit of the incident.

Police said they would launch raids for arrest of Mohiuddin.

In a clash between Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) supporters and police, at least eight people including two women were killed and over 100 injured.

The brutal clash had started when police attempted to remove barriers outside Dr. Qadri’s Mihajul Quran Secretariat in Model Town and supporters of PAT opposed the move. Police resorted to straight firing and baton charged the PAT activists, leaving eight dead.

Hussain told ARY News that the rulers were misusing their authority and created a unique example of barbarism and state terrorism.
