DSP arrested for allegedly raping 14-year-old girl

LAHORE: A deputy superintendent of Police (DSP), who has been arrested for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl, pleads innocence and says he will be acquitted in the case, ARY News reported.

Speaking to media here, DSP Babar Jamil claimed that a consipracy was hatched against him.

“A change that Imran Khan couldn’t effect, it will be brought about by Imran Jamil,” he bragged.

He went on to say that the current inspector general Punjab was afraid of him. “My struggle and hard work will result in death of IG Punjab and government,” said the under-arrest DSP.

He said he had been acquitted previously by the court, and sounded confident that will also be proved innocent in the court.


According to Punjab police spokesman, DSP Imran Jameel is suspended from February 20, 2015 for various charges and inquiry was underway against him.

IG Punjab Mushtaq Sukhera has taken notice of the incident and ordered CCPO Lahore to investigate into the matter.

Meanwhile, SP Ammara Athar told media that the girl aged between 17 and 18 years used work as a maid. She has been shifted to hospital for medical examination.
