Durrani urges MQM, PPP to resolve disputed matters

KARACHI: Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani on Tuesday said the People’s Party and MQM should sit together to settle contentious issues, ARY News reported on Tuesday.

Talking to the media before the start of the Sindh Assembly session today, the Speaker said that both parties should sit together and attempt to resolve the misunderstandings.

Speaker Durrani, a PPP stalwart, offered to play a neutral role in the ongoing dispute between the Muttahida Qaumi Movement and the Pakistan Peoples Party.

Durrani said that he will try that the MQM lawmakers not sitting on the opposition benches.

MQM, estranged ally of the ruling PPP in Sindh coalition has requested the speaker to allot seats to its members on the opposition benches in Sindh Assembly.
