The appointments have been made for conducting Local Bodies Elections in Cantonment Boards.
According to the schedule approved by the Supreme Court, the LB elections in the 43 cantonment boards will be held on April 15.
A three member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Jawwad S. Khawaja, while hearing the case on local government elections on March 10, directed the election commission to hold local bodies elections in Islamabad on July 25.
Moreover, the apex court has also issued directives for holding the local bodies (LB) elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on May 30, in Punjab and Sindh on September 2.
