ECP releases asset details of PM, Imran, others

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan has released asset details of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and other political leaders of the country, a couple of days after these details were ‘mysteriously’ removed from the ECP website.

According to the ECP, PM has total declared assets worth Rs1.96 billion while he has no property overseas.

PM has only two houses worth Rs 250 million and Rs 4 million, respectively. While PM’s wife Kulsoom Nawaz is owner of four houses worth Rs 430.43 million.

The list further states that PM has Rs 6 million in his seven accounts while he keeps Rs 2.3 million in cash. Further details reveal that Jati Umra house of PM worth around Rs 4 million.

PM’s Chaudhry Sugar mills has a value of Rs 120.1 million, followed by Hudaibiya engineering company private Ltd worth Rs 2.2 million.

About PTI chairman Imran Khan, ECP says Khan has assets worth Rs 1.3 billion and he has no assets abroad.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman possesses Rs 6.8 million and do not own a car under his names while Jamshed Dasti is a poor parliamentarian with total declared assets worth Rs 2,653.

Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah owns a 100-acre land worth just Rs 2.5 million, while his luxurious house in Sukkur is shown at a value of Rs 1.1 million.
