Eddie Redmayne tipped as favorite to star in Harry Potter spin-off!

TOP NEWS

The 33 year old British actor made headlines when he not only pulled off a stellar portrayal of Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything, but is being reported as being the favorite to feature in the Harry Potter spin-off.

J.K Rowling, the British author who penned the sensational bestselling Harry Potter book series, is heavily involved in writing the script for the movie. The story focuses on the magizoologist Newt, who penned the Hogwarts textbook Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

J.K.Rowling had earlier explained the relationship between Fantastic Beasts AND Where To Find Them in a Facebook post. She clarified that the spin-off was neither a prequel nor a sequel to Harry Potter book series but was a plot of its own. However, some elements of the book series remain the same.

“Although it will be set in the worldwide community of witches and wizards where I was so happy for seventeen years, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ is neither a prequel nor a sequel to the Harry Potter series, but an extension of the wizarding world,” she wrote, referencing the years that she worked on the beloved series and its eight film adaptations. “The laws and customs of the hidden magical society will be familiar to anyone who has read the Harry Potter books or seen the films, but Newt’s story will start in New York, seventy years before Harry’s gets underway.”

We wish Redmayne all the best in his portrayal of Newt and hope he delivers yet another stellar acting performance! Sky is the limit for Eddie these days!
