Eight injured in Quetta bomb blast

A roadside bomb went off near a mill at Sariab Road leaving eight passersby injured, rescue sources said. The rescue workers transferred the injured to Civil Hospital Quetta for medical attendance. One of the injured said to be in a precarious condition.

The law enforcement personnel have cordoned off the area after the incident and gathering evidence from the scene of the blast. A suspect has been detained from the crime scene, police sources said.

According to the bomb disposal squad two-and-half kilogrammes of explosives were used in the bomb device which was detonated with remote control.

According to law enforcement personnel a rickshaw was also destroyed in the bomb blast.
