Election Commission braces for NA-122 electoral battle

With only one day left for the by-election of NA-122 to commence, the Election Commission has stepped up and procured 500 vehicles for the use of polling staff and delivery.

According to sources, the Election Commission has brought as many as 350 vehicles for the use delivery of supplies and polling staff to Fortress Stadium. More than 130 vehicles have also been brought to Nasir Bagh and registration documents relating to the vehicles have been sent to the Election Commission.

The vehicle owners will be remunerated a stipulated amount and police officials will be stationed for the protection of these vehicles. On Sunday, PTI’s Aleem Khan will square off against PML-N’s Ayaz Sadiq in the electoral battle for NA-122. The election has gained national attention, due to immense campaigning by both contestants. PTI chairman Imran Khan personally campaigned for his candidate Aleem Khan.
