The ECP has begun work on use of bio-metric machine and electronic voting machine, as planned under new reforms. The special meeting of the ECP has been summoned on September 30.
In this regard, the election commission has contacted 11 companies dealing in biometric machine and electronic voting machine. The companies concerned will give demo of their working/use of machines.
The ECP will shortlist a single company to hire its service for the electoral process later on.
The meeting will be attended among others by officials of National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) and Defense Ministry.
