KABUL: At least eleven policemen were killed when a check post was attacked early Saturday morning in Farah province, Afghan media reported.
The attacked reportedly took place at around 3 A.M. in Shamalgah area of Farah city when suspected militants attacked and killed eleven policeman and wounded another.
Farah police Chief Toryalai Abdali confirmed the attack but said that three police were killed and four were wounded in the attack.
He said the attack was carried out by Taliban who fled the scene after the incident and took with them all the weapons at the check post.
