According to Indian media, the shooting of this Anthony D’Souza movie was disrupted just after the venue where it was being shot was marched by as much as 2000 men.

Trouble began early in the day when film crew came to the Arts College building area and started making arrangements for the film shooting. Soon, students belonging to Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad and other student’s organisations descended on the sets and raised slogans. “The conduct of film shooting on the campus will result in disturbance to students. We will not allow any commercial activity on the university campus,” a student leader said.

The director Anthony D’Souza has expressed shock over the incident and said that the scene was scary. He morever said that they had all the necessary permits to carry out the shoot.

Azhar is the biopic on veteran cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin’s life.
