Entire country facing flood threat, says Altaf

LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain has said that the entire country is facing the flood threat, ARY News reports on Saturday.

Altaf Hussain, in a statement, said that no former or present governments have taken steps which could have saved the country from floods which causes wide scale destruction each year.

He added that thousands of people would not have been killed if the rulers had shown flexibility and built dams in the country. He added that millions of people would have been employed and the economic condition would have improved this way.

“The time has come for the rulers to make decision through which the country progresses on strong foundations and the country remains united”, he added.

He had appealed the party workers and the nation to help the people affected by the floods.

MQM chief prayed for the eternal peace for the people who have died due to the natural calamity.
