According to details, Justice Saqib Nisar conducted the hearing of a review petition on Wednesday pertaining to the EOBI scam case.
During the hearing, he questioned that how the lands will be recovered, on which properties have been constructed. He also inquired the EOBI that has the institution estimated previous and current rates of lands.
On the other hand, the owner of lands took the stance that why should they pay interest, when they have already returned the received amounts.
Several land owners including DHA do not want to return the amount.
At this, Justice Saqib Nisar said that pension of several people was withheld due to non-resolution of the issue and this is why the case will be heard on daily basis from the next hearing.
Moreover, the hearing of the case was adjourned for a week’s period.
