The former home minister of Sindh was exclusively speaking in ARY News program ‘Off the Record’ hosted by senior anchor Kashif Abbasi.
He termed Zardari poor by heart.
Zardari – a land grabber?
In a veiled sarcasm, Mirza said he [Zardari] is very intelligent and showed patience in passing PPP tenure from 2008 to 2013. Be it anyone’s industry, land, residence or any valuable belonging is eyed by Zardari, he blamed.
Zardari, according to Mirza, built a bomb-proof home costing billion of rupees in Lahore.
I am now calling a spade a spade after seeing people suffering badly due to bad governance in the province led by Asif Ali Zardari, explained the incensed PPP leader.
He said Zardari is bent-on acquiring properties forcefully and on his own terms.
‘Robin Hood of sorts’
He lambasted business tycoon Malik Riaz for ‘robbing’ poor to serve the rich. He alleged that Riaz has acquired wealth through illegal means and now frittering away, thus earning title of ‘Robin Hood’.
Whoever earns through legal means does not ever fritter away money, he added.
PPP leaders – from poorer to the richest
“It is said that money is the main ingredient in politics.”
He said many people in the PPP became from the poor to the richest, but never spent a penny on the party.
Mirza, however, refrained from naming people who became millionaire to billionaire in the PPP.
To a question thrown by Kashif Abbasi, Mirza said Manzoor Wassan is totally corrupt. He also called Sharjeel Memon corrupt, but daring and jolly person.
He claimed that Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah is an honest person with zero-corruption.
He added that Shah is under life threat and compelled to sign ‘files’ of top PPP leaders who are involved in corruption.
Rehman Malik comes under fire
He again turned his guns on Rehman Malik. “You can get any work done through Rehman Malik and that’s his quality. He can polish your shoes, wash a toilet and do anything for you.”
The ex-home minister even called Mr. Malik a ‘rare animal’.
To a question, Mirza said he can stop him from arriving in Karachi, calling him ‘coward’.
“Bilawal has gone abroad after being disheartened from governance in Sindh.”
If Bilawal comes to any TV channel and says that Mirza is uttering rubbish, then “I won’t ever appear on TV again in my life.” He told that Zardari’s sister Faryal Talpur is now running the PPP.
Mirza was of the view that PPP only belongs to Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
The second part of the program will be aired on Tuesday [tomorrow] at 8pm on ARY News.
