The threat was issued by the General Secretary of the right-Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) Shalini Thackeray, who lashed at Khan and Johar over not choosing Indian stars for their projects.

Thackeray asked, “Are the two unable to find a single actor from India — which has a population of 1.252 billion — and are casting people from Pakistan instead.”

Thackeray has also warned all film producers that they will face dire consequences if they cast any Pakistani actors in their movies.

It should be noted that Hindu extremist group had threatened many Pakistani stars including Ali Zafar, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Fawad Khan to leave India.

Karan Johar’s film Ae Dil Hai Muskil starring Ranbir Kapoor, Aishawariya Rai, Anushka Sharma, and even Fawad Khan is scheduled to be released on 28th October.
