Police produced accused Raja Arshad in the court under stringent security today after conclusion of the remand period.
The police officers informed the court that the weapon used in the crime and mobile phone have been recovered from the accused.
The police pleaded to the court for extension in remand period so as the vehicle used in the crime can be recovered.
The judge, however, denied the police request and sent the accused to jail till September 23rd.
Fahad Malik was gunned down on August 15th in Sector F-10 of Islamabad. The deceased was attempting to mediate between his friend Malik Tariq and the rival Raja Arshad group. He was shot dead in his car as he left the Police station, while Tariq Malik was seriously injured.
