Faisal Edhi inaugurates monument to pay tribute to Abdul Sattar Edhi

KARACHI: To pay tribute to world famous social worker Abdul Sattar Edhi Karachi Administration Society (KAECHS) has built a ‘first ever monument’ of the national hero of Pakistan Abdul Sattar Edhi with the name of “Edhi Square”, ARY News reported.

Edhi’s son Faisal Edhi in presence of area residents inaugurated the monument on Sunday in Karachi.

This monument is constructed in two months time. This is built at the roundabout linking block 1, 2 and 3 of the society. Four beacons have been constructed and placed with portraits of Abdul Sattar Edhi in all four sides. This square is illuminated with colorful lights.

Talking to media after inaugurating Edhi Square, Faisal Edhi applauded love of people for his father and expressed his gratitude. “Best way to pay tribute is that people should live life like Edhi sahib and help our nation, country and fellows especially poor ones. We should remain united in all times,” he urged.

Chairman Karachi Admin Association Khalid Noor and Vice Chairman Kashif Shaikh told that KAECH Society housed more than 5,000 homes and residents decided to build this monument to honor services of our legend Abdul Sattar Edhi and just expressed their love for him.

They urged that Abdul Sattar Edhi should be awarded with Nobel Prize.
