KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Faisal Vawda will leave his party and join Mustafa Kamal-led Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) tonight, former MQM leader Irum Farooque claimed in a tweet on Tuesday.

Vawda, who remains a vocal critic of MQM and all the parties opposing PTI, was absent during PTI chief Imran Khan’s visit to ARY News office in Karachi.

Irum Farooque, who recently quit MQM after being allegedly sidelined by the party, tweeted that Vawda will join former Karachi mayor Mustafa Kamal’s PSP and will announce it in a press conference at 12 midnight on Tuesday.

However, hours later, the ex-MQM legislator deleted her tweet for reasons better known to her.

Imran Khan landed in Karachi on Monday and also visited ARY News Saddar office on Tuesday but Vawda was nowhere to be seen.

The PTI hasn’t issued any rebuttal in this regard.
